• In Case of Assistance: If your manager is kind enough to lend you a hand with anything, which may include solving a problem, fixing a technology, helping with monthly or annually projects. If your boss helps with a difficult task or hires a new employee to make your task easier, then one must express their gratitude through a thank you letter.

• In Case of Bonus/promotion: If your boss gives you a bonus, raise or promotion, or gives you free days off for a personal reason or gives you vacation days to help you relax then one should definitely thank their boss and showcase their thankfulness in whatever way possible.

• In Case of Departure: Your boss is transitioning to another department, resigning, or retiring, then you should thank them for their help throughout the years. Similarly, if you are moving to a different department or another company, then you should send them a thank you letter to tell them that you appreciate all the time you have spent with them and oath to become a leader like them.

How to Write a Thank you Letter to Employer?

The Introduction:- the first part of the letter, should contain name of the employee who is writing the letter to their employer. It should also mention their title in the company. The next line should contain the name of the manager and also their position in the company. This part of the letter should also contain the subject which should be brief and straight to the point.

The Body:- This part of the letter is basically the most important; the employee must state the purpose behind the letter and should thoroughly thank their boss for looking after them, mentoring them, and for being a great boss for all the years spent together. The employee should be specific as to why they are thanking their boss.

Conclusion:- This part should contain the final thoughts of the employee and should state the closing statement in one or two lines. After this, the next line should contain a formal salutation, for instance, with words like ‘respectfully’ or ‘sincerely’. The end must be composed with the signature of the employee.
